Meet & Greet
"Every great relationship starts with hello."
Before any service begins, Lacy visits your home to meet you and your pet in person — or virtually, whichever works best. She learns their routine, answers your questions, and makes sure it's the right fit for everyone.

Why the Meet & Greet matters
Leaving your pet with someone new is a big deal. The Meet & Greet gives your pet a chance to meet Lacy in their own home, on their own terms — no kennel stress, no unfamiliar smells. It also gives Lacy everything she needs to provide truly personalised care from day one.

What actually happens at the Meet & Greet
The Meet & Greet is not an extra step — it's the foundation of trust. I come to your home because I want to see where your pet lives, know the layout, the exits, the yard, and meet your pet on their turf where they're most comfortable. I get down on the floor with your pet. I let them sniff me, check me out, decide I'm safe. While your pet is warming up to me, we talk. You tell me everything: their routine, their quirks, their fears, their favourites.
The Meet & Greet typically lasts about 45 minutes — plenty of time to meet your pets, go over their routine, walk through your home, and answer all your questions. Most of my repeat clients were nervous first-timers once. They booked that first stay, got the photo updates, came home to a happy pet and a clean house, and never looked back.
Wondering about cost before you book? We get it — you want to make sure our services fit your budget before investing time. Our standard rates are listed on every service page, and you can always message us with your specific situation for a quick estimate. The $55 Meet & Greet fee is a one-time charge and is the foundation for everything that follows.
Behavioural safety screening: During the intake process, we'll ask specific questions about your pet's behaviour — including leash reactivity, food aggression, and how they respond to strangers. This isn't about turning pets away; it's about making sure we're fully prepared and that the care environment is safe for everyone.
Spouses or family members are welcome at the Meet & Greet — as long as everyone joins us so your pets can meet all the familiar faces ahead of time.
