Where Pet Care Meets Purpose
Lacy Jones, the heart behind Stay With Lacy Pet Sitting, is also a proud co-founder of The HoneyOnDuty Project, and Honey's mom. Honey was surrendered twice before being rescued from the Stafford County Animal Shelter on March 27th — now her official birthday and adoption day. Most people saw her breed and walked away. Lacy and Stefan saw a second chance.
Together with handler Stefan and certified therapy dog Honey, Lacy helps bring comfort, connection, and hope to those who need it most — from children in hospice to first responders on the front lines, across 15+ states and 30+ flights.
That same depth of care and commitment to animals is what drives Stay With Lacy Pet Sitting.

Certified Therapy Dog, Handler & Honey's Mom
"Honey is living proof that every dog — and every person — deserves a second chance. She walks into rooms where words fail and does what no medicine can: she reminds people they are seen, they matter, and they are not alone."
Programs & Initiatives
How Honey Brings Hope
Three core programs, one mission: delivering healing wherever it's needed most.
Healing Visits
Honey visits children in hospice care, burn units, hospitals, and end-of-life settings. She provides deep pressure therapy, tactile redirection, and quiet companionship. Every visit includes a HoneyGram — a handwritten card left behind as a tangible reminder: you are not alone.
Crisis & Community Response
When communities face tragedy, The HoneyOnDuty Project responds. Honey provides trauma-informed, CISM-trained support to survivors, first responders, and community members navigating grief and crisis.
Mental Health & Education
Honey and her team bring animal-assisted mental health education to schools, organizations, and community groups — helping people understand the science of the human-animal bond and how it supports healing.
What's a HoneyGram?
A short, heartfelt note written by a stranger to a stranger — designed to bring joy, spark imagination, and remind someone they are loved. Honey delivers these personally to hospice patients, children in crisis, and anyone who needs to know: you matter.
The project has delivered 1,500+ HoneyGrams delivered and counting toward a goal of 1 million.
